This is simply a casual, layman’s estimation of the degree of success/peace in each category. It can absolutely be refuted given evidence or a compelling case… but I think this kind of visual assessment of religions and ideologies can be helpful.
The matrix says nothing about the exogenous factors involved (resource scarcity, colonialism, oppression) but just as individuals benefit from taking some ownership of their lives and decisions, religions might benefit from owning their own histories and contemporary successes/failures. By owning a situation you acknowledge that you have the power to improve it. Any other approach is useful to apportion blame but not to fix things.
Not all religions/cultures/beliefs are ‘equal’ if by equal you mean promote the same level of human flourishing. That is such a self-evidently true statement that it shocks me that probably half of modern Americans would disagree with it… and it strikes me that this might be close to source of many of our problems.
