Regarding Education:

Thanks to years of ideological takeover, the vast majority of those in the education field are obsessed with bad methods and bad ideas. And no matter how much they fail to help kids learn and thrive, the believers cannot let go of the bad ideas.

And it's really frustrating how much kids COULD thrive if we'd just use things proven to work well instead of things proven to work poorly.

It's really astonishing.

I agree. I’m going to start substitute teaching here shortly in Florida public schools to see for myself.

Perhaps it’s because education is a nebulous and an idealistic concept… but science has almost never been applied to pedagogy. It’s been pure utopian theory for 150 years.

When people start with the presumption that their theories are correct and righteous almost nothing tends to convince them otherwise-certainly not languishing students.

The Democrat Party in SF prevents a former Obama staffer from creating a club called the 'Westside Family Democratic Club' because it has the word 'family' in it:

You can agree or disagree with this trend; accept it or resist it. You can't deny its existence.
