I don't think Orwell visualised Airstrip One as being under Islamic rule, but that's how it's turning out.
My wife is British, and I've been there many times. What you say is true. The place is fucked. It's a dead man walking that still thinks it's a great power. UK GDP per capital is somewhere around Missouri's.
The country has no ability to defend itself, and no industry that is capable of rebuilding the defence force. The population is cowed and immiserated, and a huge number are on benefits. It produces almost nothing. Worst of all, it's being overrun by Islam.
I don't like to black pill, but I don't see how it can recover.
