I noticed you mostly called out the boomer “liberals”. They deserve every bit of it but boomer conservatives deserve just as much shit. They have a blind underserved arrogance that almost can’t be matched.
I think our ENTIRE culture has taken a progressive/liberal turn under the boomers, such that 'conservative' Boomers still use the filters. They still want to sound nice and seem cool and they still want to preserve their youth and their wealth. Older conservatives are just as responsible as older liberals for changing our society and instantiating greed and inauthenticity. This wasn't a partisan rant-these problems are much deeper than political orientation. They apply to the entire culture that Boomers created, and that includes most liberals AND conservatives. Regarding the focus of this essay the two groups are basically indistinguishable.
I hate to agree and amplify but this cannot be emphasized enough. Look at who the RINOs typically are. Who often leads the charges of racism? Who have spent decades pandering to minorities while cities literally burn? Who exactly jammed NAFTA through and decimated American workers? Who led the charge financializing the US economy?
I could go on but you're right. This is not ideological but generational.
NAFTA! Anyone else willing to argue that the betraying treasonous that pushed and profited from it - should publicly swing over the corpses of all adults of their entire bloodline, even if we must dig-up their rotting bodies?
Maybe evenly distribute all those justly dead throughout nation and piled on public so we may piss on their corpses and let wild animals eat them?
Perhaps other people have better ideas for linking Satanic minions genociding white Chistian virtue-based value-raised peoples, societies with Justice for those beyond the law? Justice can only be Death, Death, Death - the wages of sin, earth-ashes-dust and the end of demonic-possessed rulers and witches?
One of the most striking examples to me was the response to COVID. Overwhelmingly, with no exceptions whatsoever in my own circle, it was the Boomers who demanded everything shut down. They were 100% willing to hurt the well-being of the kids, all because they were scared. Their sense of safety as simply more important than the needs of their grandchildren. There is simply no other way to interpret it. It was among the most selfish demands that I have seen.
These are all thoughts I have had (as an aging, late baby boomer) but there is nothing new in this. When an expanding, vigorous society gets rich through hard work and sacrifice the last thing they want is to make their children suffer the same sacrifices. You end up with weak, self-indulgent children who think they are strong and enlightened. Baby boomers every time. I would feel more motivated to do something if my own children hadn't rejected children angrily as a cancer on the planet. With no grandchildren likely what exactly is the point of the significant sacrifices I am supposed to make? The future, I guess, is Africa where they still love children. We are a late phase, decadent civilization which can only hope to avoid the worst of the years 500-1400. We in the West had a great 600 year run, but it's hard to see how we avoid the rest. Maybe I have been reading too much Bertrand Russell.
